I really appreciated the clear instructions for meeting. Eon reached out directly on WhatsApp and provided meeting place and answered any questions that I had prior to meeting. We walked through to the tuna auction we were provided with an earpiece that made it very easy to hear what was going on. Eon answered the many many questions we had with politeness. We had the opportunity to walk around and look at the market near the auction. Eon bought us a variety of grapes, which were especially delicious. We then took a short taxi to the old auction area and he shared many key facts I highly recommend his tour with Eon. He was kind and friendly.

We had a wonderful morning Tuna market/auction tour with Nick! He had great energy, was very kind, and super knowledgeable about everything, from how the auction works to the history of the market itself. Every question we had, he answered. He also brought great energy to the tour, even at the early hour. Finally, he was responsive on Whatsapp and provided some great tips for us beyond the tour itself. The BEST guide—highly recommend!

From Tuna Auction to
Tsukiji Market: A 3.5-Hour Journey

Begin your tour at Toyosu Market at 5:00 AM to witness Japan's renowned tuna auction firsthand. With explanations from your professional guide and a personal audio guide, you'll learn about the fast-paced auction's signals and bidding processes, experiencing a unique Tokyo fish market morning.

After the auction viewing, enjoy a breakfast made with fresh seafood from Toyosu Market. Then, using the included transportation, travel to Tsukiji to stroll through the vibrant outer market, concluding your approximately 3.5-hour tour.

Witness the Tuna Auction Up Close at Toyosu Market

From 5:00 AM to 6:30 AM, observe the tuna auction at Toyosu Market. The viewing is generally from the 2nd-floor general observation deck, and each participant receives a personal audio guide. The guide provides real-time explanations of the hand signals, bidding methods, and details about the tuna, making the auction process engaging even for first-time visitors.

From 6:30 AM to 7:15 AM, savor a breakfast featuring fresh seafood from Toyosu Market. The menu may vary depending on the freshest ingredients available that day. Afterward, from 7:15 AM to 7:45 AM, explore the market with your guide and learn about the seafood processing and distribution, as well as insights into Toyosu Market.

A Culinary Journey Extending to Tsukiji Outer Market

From 7:45 AM to 8:00 AM, take the included transportation from Toyosu Market to Tsukiji Market. From 8:00 AM to 8:30 AM, wander through Tsukiji Outer Market, discovering various shops selling fresh seafood, local delicacies, and Japanese kitchenware.

The 1st-floor viewing area, offering a closer view of the tuna auction, operates via a separate lottery system. If you wish to participate in the lottery, you must complete your reservation by the 5th of the previous month and submit the full names of all participants. Winning is not guaranteed. If selected, please bring your passport or ID on the day of the tour. In December, viewing is from the 2nd-floor general observation deck without a lottery.
