I had to buy this ticket because I couldn't find any tickets even though I looked 5 days in advance. In this regard, the feature that could compensate for the double price was the digital guide. Although the guide content was good, it's a recording you can listen to while you're at any location. It's very difficult to follow while touring the museum. I listened to what I couldn't hear at the museum on my return flight.

I got a ticket without a fixed time. I went to the museum very early and had to wait approx. 40min. I am quite satisfied with the experience, also because I booked very last minute and the museum only had time slots very late in the afternoon. This way I was able to plan the day the way I wanted!

I went on my own and I have to say I had a great time. Perhaps next time I'll try the audio guide.

The Musee D’Orsay is amazing, something you can go back to over and over. 100% always. The audio app, however, was difficult to use. You have to scroll back and forth to find particular notes, and the titles are not always the same as the title of the artwork. It’s organized by floors, and while it warns you things move around, well, they move a lot! It would be better to list the artists alphabetically to help you find the notes you want.

Very exceptional museum, but the audio guide = meh.
