The New York Museum of Modern Art is open from 10:30 AM to 5:30 PM from Sunday to Friday, until 7 PM on Saturdays, and from 1 PM to 5:30 PM on Mondays. According to the New York Museum of Modern Art, the morning hours are the busiest. Therefore, it is recommended to visit in the afternoon to enjoy the museum more leisurely. Also, you can enter the Museum of Modern Art more quickly by using the main entrance of the Rockefeller Building on 53rd Street. The Museum of Modern Art is close to 6th Avenue.

The MoMA Art Walk Starts from the 5th Floor

If you don't know where to start, press the 5th floor button on the elevator.

This is because it is the main floor full of major works from the 1880s to the 1940s that have marked a milestone in art history, such as Van Gogh's 'The Starry Night,' Monet's 'Water Lilies,' and Picasso's 'Les Demoiselles d'Avignon.' See the 5th floor exhibition works in advance.

On the 4th floor, you can see works from the 1940s to the 1970s, and on the 3rd floor, you can see experimental works that we commonly think of as modern art. You can see Jeff Koons' Pink Panther sculpture. On the 2nd floor, you can see works from the 1970s to the present.

After the tour, be sure to visit the 'MoMA Design Store' located on the 1st basement floor and across the street. This place, where star designers also want to open stores, is full of original items from designers who have created the history of modern design. In addition, posters and products related to the exhibition are also available, making it a good place to pick up travel gifts.
