Very interesting, although a lot to read. Don’t know if there was an audio guide but didn’t see anyone with one and I wasn’t offered one - would have been great if there was one.

A must-do if you like microbiology. Too bad that on the day we visited, many microscopes were not working.

Really interesting, lab talk was great, smaller than expected but meant we could spend time examining everything in depth over 2 hours

Very nice, I liked the possibility of interaction and it was well organized. The only negative note is that some microphones were not working. A shame because it's a nice interactive experience. Overall super positive, I would go back.

매력포인트

Meet the smallest life forms,
Microbes at Micropia Museum

Opened in 2014, the Micropia Museum in Amsterdam is a unique place that showcases the microscopic world, invisible without a microscope. Discover your own microbes with a body scan, and explore the tiny, invisible world of microbes through a microscope. With various exhibitions and experiences, it's a fun place for adults and children alike.

프로그램

Invisible to the eye,
A museum where you meet microbes

At Micropia, you can experience the smallest and most successful life forms! Every human carries about 1.5 kilograms of microbes, which you'll quickly learn upon entering with your priority admission ticket. Microbes are everywhere, and they shape your world. You can experience this firsthand through a specially designed 3D viewer that allows you to see how living microbes move, eat, and reproduce.

Main Exhibitions and Experiences

Since COVID, we have become very interested in invisible microbes and viruses. Micropia in Amsterdam introduces you to this world of microbes.

Current Exhibitions:

  • Invisible Nature
  • Superpowers: The superpowers of microbes
  • Body Snatchers: Parasites that snatch bodies
Experience Programs:
  • Microscope Observation Experience: Observe various microbes directly through a microscope
  • Microbe Culturing Experience: Culture and observe microbes directly
