In fall, the sun sets at 5 o'clock, so it's a good idea to go up about 30 minutes early to see the day view first and then come down after seeing the night view. Looking from 90 meters above, the city is well-zoned.

It was a long time to buy a ticket because it was a snow festival. I had a voucher and it was good to go up to the elevator. And I have to come here during snowflake festival. It is very nice.

It is even prettier if you go at night. The park view and the night view of Sapporo were great.

매력포인트

Sapporo at a glance from the observation deck,
Panoramic view

Discover amazing views of Sapporo from the Sapporo TV Tower Observation Deck, the city's main tower. Especially in winter, it is known as Sapporo's top travel destination with fantastic night views illuminated with lights. Also, the tower decorated with colorful lights at sunset is a great sight!

Meet Sapporo's Landmark,
TV Tower Observatory

Visit the Sapporo TV Tower, a landmark of Sapporo. This tower boasts a height of 147.2m. Especially when it snows, you can see at a glance the beautiful snowfield covered in white. It is also famous for presenting beautiful views in all seasons.

Built to commemorate the start of Sapporo TV broadcasting, one of Japan's broadcasts, this tower is located at the eastern end of Odori Park in the middle of the city, so you can enjoy the observatory and various festivals and events held near Odori Park.

Why the night view of Sapporo TV Tower is beautiful

Sapporo TV Tower is located about 10 minutes' walk from Sapporo Station. However, because it is near Odori Station and Harco Department Store, the shopping center of Sapporo, you can see the sparkling night view at night. It's Sapporo's largest downtown area!

In particular, the Sapporo Snow Festival is held in Odori Park in January and February, and the Sapporo TV Tower is located at the eastern end of Odori Park, so the daytime scenery is also really beautiful. But in my personal opinion, I recommend visiting at night.

Check the light-up schedule in advance

Sapporo TV Tower is also Sapporo's best photo spot. The reason is that light-up and illumination are in progress. The Sapporo TV Tower has an electric clock that turns on and off at a set time every day. (The electric clock is turned off from 24:10 - 05:00)

Illumination is usually held from December to January with white illumination. The light-up varies depending on the time the sun sets, so it is best to check the details on the website in advance.

Meet the scenery of Odori Park

The best view from Sapporo TV Tower is Odori Park. You can see the entire view of Otori Park, and you can also view the city of Sapporo through a telescope further away. Telescopes are available for 200 yen on site.

The souvenir shop is pretty good

It looks like a general store, but the souvenir shop is surprisingly full of things to see. There are various types of figures and dolls, and TV Tower souvenirs. There was a story that you could get a Slam Dunk figure when you were lucky!

Why you should buy a ticket from WAUG

WAUG is an official partner of Sapporo TV Tower and sells admission tickets at the lowest price all year round. You can purchase tickets at a 30% discount compared to the on-site price, and we guarantee the lowest price.
