The tour starts at the Levi meeting point, where you get your ski equipment ready. Then you ride a minivan for about 15 minutes to a spot in nature. The location is carefully chosen by the guide on the day, so you can experience quiet Arctic nature away from the crowds.
Ski through deep snow on backcountry skis
Backcountry skiing has long been an eco-friendly way of getting around in the Arctic. On this tour you learn the basics of this winter sport, then step onto specialist skis designed for exploring the Finnish wilderness and leave the known tracks for deep snow. Thanks to their skin-based material, you can move freely across Lapland's snow-covered backcountry. With luck, you may even spot wildlife.
Capture Arctic scenery with a photographer guide
Your professional photographer guide shares knowledge about landscape and nature photography so you can take the photos you want. A few edited photos of your experience are also sent to you.
Relax by the campfire
During the journey, the group finds a place to make a fire and prepares light snacks over an outdoor fire pit. Warm drinks are also served to keep you warm even on the coldest days. After the experience you return to the Levi meeting point, and drop-off at your accommodation can be arranged if needed.

Please arrive at the Beyond Arctic Levi office, right next to the tourist information office, 15 minutes before the tour starts. Central Levi includes Leviraitti, Break Sokos Hotel Levi, Hotel Hullu Poro, Design hotel, Hotel K5, Hotel Sirkantähti and similar hotels on the same street.

Meeting point guide:
Pickup is available from accommodations within 10 km of Beyond Arctic Levi. The pickup time depends on your location and will be sent separately, usually 20–45 minutes before the tour starts. Please provide your accommodation name and address when booking.
