Meet at Levi Tourist Office
and head to the safari center
Meet your guide in the car park outside Levi Tourist Office and drive about 5 minutes to the Wild Nordic Levi Safari Center. The vehicle leaves 30 minutes before the tour starts. At the safari center you put on thermal overalls, boots, gloves, wool socks, a balaclava and a helmet, and get snowmobile driving instructions and a safety briefing from your guide.
Ride across frozen lakes and snowy forests
Cross the frozen lakes, open marshlands and snow-covered forests around Levi by snowmobile. You can drive or ride as a passenger, and two adults share one snowmobile so you can swap drivers along the way. There are several stops for photos against the winter landscape, and your guide serves hot berry juice, a traditional Lapland drink.
The 3-hour course includes a café break
If you choose the 3-hour course, you enjoy the scenery around Levi fell for longer. Halfway through, you stop at a cosy traditional Lapland café or Lapland tent to warm up with hot drinks and local snacks. After the tour, you return to Levi Tourist Office by vehicle.
