Highlights
This tour takes you on a roughly 3-hour hunt for the Northern Lights by minivan from Saariselkä in Finnish Lapland. An experienced guide checks the aurora forecast and weather to choose the best spots of the night, so instead of waiting in the same place every night, you actively drive in search of clear skies. As a small-group tour in a minivan seating 8–18 people, it can flexibly reach spots only a van can access. Your guide takes photos of the aurora with a professional camera and tripod and shares them after the tour.
Program
Get picked up in Saariselkä
and set off to find the aurora
Meet your guide at your accommodation within 15 km of central Saariselkä and board a comfortable minivan seating 8–18 people. On the way, feel free to ask your guide anything about the aurora, Lapland's nature and local culture.
Move between spots in search of clear skies
Based on the forecast, your guide chooses places with the best chance of seeing the aurora. Rather than waiting for the clouds to clear at the same spot every night, you travel as far as needed to find clear skies. During breaks, enjoy warm drinks and snacks.
Capture the aurora with a professional camera
Your guide brings a professional camera and tripod to capture your moments under the aurora. The photos are shared after the tour, and photography is included in the tour price.
※ The aurora is a natural phenomenon and sightings cannot be guaranteed.
