Leave Ho Chi Minh City by air-conditioned vehicle with an English-speaking guide, pass through My Tho and Ben Tre, stay overnight in Can Tho, the heart of the Mekong Delta, and visit the Cai Rang Floating Market the next day. On day 1, pickup from a central hotel or the meeting point is around 7:30 to 8:00 a.m., and you arrive back in Ho Chi Minh City around 4:30 to 5:00 p.m. on day 2.

Ride a Mekong River boat and a sampan
in My Tho and Ben Tre

On the way, stop at Vinh Trang Pagoda, then enjoy a boat tour on the Mekong River in My Tho. Glide by sampan along Ben Tre's coconut-lined canals and see how coconut candy and other local specialties are made at a small workshop. Meet local families, taste tropical fruit and honey tea, and listen to traditional southern folk music.

After a Vietnamese lunch, continue to Can Tho to check in at the hotel, and spend the evening freely at the night market, riverside promenade or local cafes.

Visit the Cai Rang Floating Market early in the morning

On day 2, wake up around 6:00 a.m. and head by boat to the Cai Rang Floating Market. Watch boats loaded with fruit and vegetables gather to trade in the lively morning market. Then see traditional noodle making at a rice noodle factory and visit a nearby local market.

Make banh xeo at a riverside ancient house

Return to the hotel for breakfast and check out, then visit the 10 Vo ancient house, a riverside home showing local architecture and traditions. Make banh xeo (Vietnamese pancakes) yourself and enjoy a local lunch. Afterwards, you can optionally cycle through the peaceful countryside.
