This official ticket lets you explore Madrid's Prado Museum, a treasure house of Spanish art, for a full day. Opened in 1819, the Prado holds about 7,600 paintings and 1,000 sculptures, and you can see more than 1,300 works on display in the main building. Meet European art from the 15th to 19th centuries in one place, from Spanish masters such as Velázquez, Goya and El Greco to masterpieces by Rembrandt, Dürer and Titian. Don't miss the royal Dauphin's Treasure.
On your booked date, enter through the Puerta de los Jerónimos (Entrance 4) on the east side of the museum. The ticket is valid for one day, and you can view more than 1,300 works on display in the main building at your own pace. As the museum grew out of the Spanish royal collection, its Spanish painting collection is especially rich.
Admire works by Spanish masters such as Velázquez, Goya, El Greco, Ribera, Zurbarán and Murillo, along with masterpieces by European greats like Rembrandt, Dürer and Titian. You can follow the course of European art from the 15th to the 19th century.
If the vast collection makes it hard to choose, follow one of the museum's three recommended routes focusing on masterpieces from the Romanesque period to the 19th century. An audio guide is not included and can be purchased separately inside the museum.
