Departing from your hotel in Hanoi's Old Quarter, this tour spends one day each in Ninh Binh and Ha Long Bay over two days. On day 1, visit Hoa Lu, Vietnam's first capital, ride a sampan rowed by locals through UNESCO-listed Trang An and climb about 500 steps to the Mua Cave viewpoint. On day 2, board a Ha Long Bay cruise and sail past limestone islands over a buffet lunch, then explore Sung Sot Cave, kayak or take a bamboo boat at Luon Cave, and swim or hike to the viewpoint on Ti Top Island. A sunset party is held on the way back, and you return to Hanoi each evening.

Spend two days visiting Ninh Binh
and Ha Long Bay from Hanoi

On both days you are picked up from your hotel in Hanoi's Old Quarter in the morning and return to Hanoi in the evening. On day 1, travel by limousine bus to Ninh Binh to visit Hoa Lu, Trang An and Mua Cave, and on day 2, cruise Ha Long Bay to visit Sung Sot Cave, Luon Cave and Ti Top Island. An English-speaking guide accompanies you throughout, and entrance tickets and meals in Ninh Binh and Ha Long Bay are included. Accommodation is not included.

Explore Ninh Binh by Hoa Lu and a Trang An sampan

After pickup between 7:15 and 8:00 AM, ride a limousine bus for about 2 hours to Ninh Binh. In Hoa Lu, Vietnam's first capital surrounded by karst mountains, visit the temples of King Dinh Tien Hoang and King Le Dai Hanh, then choose between cycling among rice fields and limestone cliffs or a village walk.

After a buffet lunch with goat, noodles, spring rolls and more (vegetarian option available), ride a sampan rowed by locals through UNESCO-listed Trang An for 1 hour 40 minutes to 2 hours, passing limestone caves, temples and emerald waterways.

Look over Tam Coc from the Mua Cave viewpoint

Arrive at Mua Cave around 4 PM and climb about 500 steps. Next to the stone dragon statue at the top, take in views of the Tam Coc valley, winding rivers and endless rice fields. Then return by bus to your hotel in Hanoi around 7:30 PM.

Cruise Ha Long Bay to Sung Sot Cave and Ti Top Island

On day 2, pickup is between 7:45 and 8:55 AM, and you travel to Ha Long Bay by expressway with a rest stop and a visit to a pearl farm. Board at Tuan Chau Port around noon and enjoy a buffet lunch while sailing past limestone islands such as Dog Rock and the Kissing Rocks (Fighting Cocks).

In the afternoon, explore Sung Sot Cave, one of the largest caves in Ha Long, then kayak, take a bamboo boat or relax on board at Luon Cave. On Ti Top Island, swim at the beach or climb about 400 steps for a panoramic view of the bay. Around 5 PM, enjoy a sunset party with tea, juice, fruit and cake on the way back, arriving in Hanoi's Old Quarter around 9 PM.
