Explore the mangroves
of the Hija River by kayak

A kayak tour on the Hija River, which flows through Kadena in central Okinawa Island. After check-in, learn about the river's creatures and nature in the exhibition room, put on a life jacket and other gear, and practice paddling on land. Even first-timers can feel at ease after the practice.

The kayak tour lasts about 70 minutes and includes commemorative photos. Afterwards, you receive your photo data, change clothes and finish. The whole experience takes about 2 hours.

Take an evening stroll on the river by SUP

You can also choose the SUP (stand-up paddleboard) sunset tour, a sport that originated in Hawaii. Departures run every 30 minutes between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM, and you spend the evening on the water as the sky darkens. The experience lasts about 90 minutes and is open to ages 10 and up.
