Fantastic experience. Hiro was an excellent guide, so good with the kids, and very knowledgeable. We were concerned about the low tide, but what a delight to be so close the fish!!! Feeding them was an absolute highlight. Whilst we were bummed to miss the Blue Cave due to rough seas, Hiro did not disappoint in taking us on the most excellent snorkeling adventure! Cheers Mate!

We had an amazing time on our tour in Okinawa! Hiro was our guide, and he was absolutely lovely and fun to be around. Although we couldn’t enter the Blue Cave because of the tides, we honestly didn’t feel like we missed out at all because we had such an incredible experience! Hiro took us to another cave and some amazing spots where we got to see lots of fish. The whole experience was fantastic and so much fun! The hotel pickup was a huge plus, especially since the journey is quite long from Naha. He also gave us great recommendations and tips for the rest of our stay, which we really appreciated. We had a wonderful time and would absolutely recommend this tour! 🐠🌊✨

Highlights

A private snorkeling tour where you swim through the coral reefs of Cape Maeda deep into the Blue Cave. A professional guide leads only your group, and you can explore the stalactites inside the cave. All snorkeling equipment is provided and you receive tour photos taken by your guide. There is also an option with round-trip hotel transport so you can start comfortably from your accommodation.

Program

Gear up at Cape Maeda
and attend a safety briefing

Meet your guide at the Cape Maeda parking lot to start the tour. If you choose the hotel transport option, you travel with your guide from your accommodation. Change into your gear, listen to the safety briefing and head to the water. The tour takes about 1.5 hours in total: 30 minutes of preparation and 1 hour of snorkeling.

Enter the sea from the shore and practice

This tour starts from the shore, not from a boat. Walk down the stairs to the water's edge, enter the sea, put on your snorkeling gear and practice in the water before setting off.

Swim past the reef to explore the Blue Cave and its stalactites

Swim through the coral reefs of Cape Maeda into the heart of the Blue Cave. In the clear water, you can see the cave and its stalactites up close.

Get your tour photos and wrap up

After the adventure, return to the entrance, hand back the rental gear and change into your clothes. Receive the tour photos taken by your guide to finish the tour.

※ In bad weather, the tour may move to another safe spot with fish and coral. The Blue Cave is often closed from November to February due to strong winds.
