The tour guide Gogo was excellent and truly the highlight of the tour. He spoke very clear English, provided detailed and easy-to-follow instructions, and was always calm, friendly, and professional. Gogo took great care of everyone on board, made sure the schedule ran smoothly, and handled the group very well. Thanks to him, the tour itself was enjoyable and well managed. However, the organisation by VIP Travel was disappointing. We were informed at the last minute about changes to the pickup arrangements and asked to meet at a subway station instead of hotel pickup. Our original pickup time was supposed to be 7:30 am, but we were only offered the option to go to the station at 7:00 am or be picked up at 6:20 am. When we requested a 6:30 am pickup, we were told it was not possible. The following day, the pickup was late and happened at 6:30 am anyway. Overall, the pickup arrangements were not well organised.

Gogo was an incredible tour guide from the moment we arrived at Yongpyong Ski Resort. He patiently taught us the basics of skiing and made sure we felt confident on the slopes. His instructions were clear, helpful, and easy to follow. He even shared useful guidance for our Pyongyang visit, making the whole experience unforgettable.

The tour went very smoothly, even from the booking process. Admin was very responsive and communicative. On the day itself was a breeze. Clear pick up point and on time. Gogo was the tour guide and coach that time can speak English very fluently. I took the ski package with suit rental+2 hrs lesson. Suit rental shop was very clean, tidy, and cooperative. I initially booked for ski and upgraded to snowboard. As first timer i was quite nervous and Gogo coached me very patiently. Overall after 2 hrs lesson, i was able to cover the basics and tackle baby slope. Very recommended, 10/10.

Excellent experience delivered by our tour guide and coach, Gogo. He really looks after our well being and needs very tentatively, responsibly and promptly and he speaks well in English with clear instructions ! Definitely the right tour any foreigners who’s interested in ski trip.

Depending on traffic, the resort can be only about 40 minutes from Seoul, and you get up to 6 hours to enjoy skiing and winter activities. First-timers can choose the Basic Ski Tour with equipment rental and a 30-minute beginner lesson, while those who already ski can choose the Full Package Tour with ski wear, a lift pass and a 2-hour lesson. If you just want to enjoy the snow and resort facilities without skiing, there is also a shuttle-only option.

Program

Get picked up from your hotel in central Seoul
and head to Jisan Forest Resort

After pickup from your hotel in central Seoul between 7:00 and 8:00 AM, travel with a local guide in an air-conditioned vehicle to Jisan Forest Resort. Depending on traffic, you may arrive in about 40 minutes.

Rent equipment and take a ski lesson according to your option

The Basic Ski Tour includes rental of essential equipment such as skis, boots, poles and gloves, plus a 30-minute beginner lesson, making it ideal for first-time skiers. Ski wear rental and lift passes can be purchased separately if needed.

The Full Package Tour includes equipment and ski wear (jacket and pants) rental, a half-day lift pass and a 2-hour professional ski lesson, making it ideal for those who already know how to ski.

Enjoy the slopes and the resort for up to 6 hours

Choose from 6 slopes for beginner to advanced levels and ski or snowboard on a course that suits your skills. With the shuttle-only option, you can explore the resort freely, play in the snow, or watch family and friends ski or sled. The resort has a variety of restaurants and facilities. At the end of the day, ride back to Seoul and get dropped off in Myeong-dong.
