Explore St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican at your own pace with a timed-entry ticket and a smartphone audio guide. With no group to follow, enjoy commentary in your chosen language on Michelangelo's Pietà, Bernini's bronze baldachin, the Confessio in front of St. Peter's tomb, and the grottoes where popes are laid to rest. Depending on your option, you can also climb Michelangelo's dome by stairs or elevator for views over St. Peter's Square and Rome. At the meeting point, a host helps you with entry and sets up the app.

When you meet the host at the meeting point, they help you with entry and set up the audio guide app. After that, you explore the basilica without a guide, using just your phone and the audio commentary. With no fixed group schedule, you can pause anywhere, replay sections and stay as long as you like.

The audio guide follows the path pilgrims have walked for five centuries and leads you to the basilica's highlights. See Michelangelo's Pietà, Bernini's bronze baldachin soaring above the papal altar, the Confessio in front of St. Peter's tomb, and the grottoes beneath the floor where many popes rest, and learn the meaning of the altars, relics and Holy Door.

If you choose a dome option, you go up to Michelangelo's dome by stairs or elevator. Climb a final short flight of stairs to see a panorama over St. Peter's Square and the rooftops of Rome.
※ Access to the dome may be restricted or temporarily closed due to high demand, and the elevator may sometimes be unavailable.
※ The basilica may occasionally close without prior notice.
