Enjoy the winter light festival
at the Wilder Institute's Calgary Zoo
ZOOLIGHTS is a holiday light festival held at the Calgary Zoo from November 13, 2026 to January 3, 2027. It is open from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM, with last entry at 8:30 PM. Your ticket covers all light displays, plus a carousel ride for ZOOLIGHTS visitors.
With the Daytime Admission + ZOOLIGHTS Combo Ticket, you can enjoy daytime zoo admission and ZOOLIGHTS in the evening.
Walk the illuminated Holiday Garden and trails
Explore the festive Holiday Garden in the ENMAX Conservatory and stroll along the Rocky Mountain Trail among sparkling light displays. Soak up the festive atmosphere around warm fire pits; snacks and drinks are available for purchase on site.
Try axe throwing, the holiday maze and meet Santa
On the Savanna Lawn, enjoy free axe throwing and a new holiday maze, along with nightly interactive activities and animal facts. Until December 23, you can meet Santa at the Polar Palace.
※ Indoor animal buildings are not open to the public during ZOOLIGHTS.
※ Re-entry is not allowed after exiting.
