Skate on the natural ice track
of frozen Lake Inari
Skate on the natural ice track of Lake Inari, about 1 hour by car from Saariselkä. You spend about 2 hours at the ice track, including time to put on equipment at the storage hut, which means about 1 hour and 30 minutes of skating on the ice. There is also time to take photos and videos in the open frozen lake scenery.
Your guide helps with equipment and skating
Ice hockey skates (sizes 40.5–48), figure skates (sizes 36–42), a helmet and a balaclava are provided. Your guide helps you find the right skate size and explains the rink rules. Beginners get help moving on the ice and tips to improve their skills, while experienced skaters can skate freely after the briefing. Children can use kick sleds to follow their parents on the ice.
Go on your own or with the transport option
The option without transport is for guests who drive to the lakeside meeting point themselves and includes skate rental and a guide. With the transport option, you take a van from a designated pickup point in Saariselkä or Ivalo for about 1 hour, and the whole experience takes about 4 hours.
※ The tour runs in small groups of 4–24 people.

The meeting point is a small parking area on private property. Out of respect for the neighbours, please do not knock on any doors and wait for the guide to arrive. Please follow the instructions provided and the signs on site.

Meeting point directions:
The exact pickup time and van details will be sent to you by WhatsApp message or email the day before the experience. Pickup locations other than the designated points need to be confirmed and incur an extra charge. After the tour, you are dropped off at the pickup point.
