This day tour picks you up from your hotel in Xi'an and visits the Terracotta Army Museum, the City Wall and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda in turn. In the morning, drive about 1 hour to the Terracotta Army Museum and explore it with your guide for about 2.5 hours. See rows of life-size clay soldiers, each with unique features, made for Emperor Qin Shi Huang 2,000 years ago, and learn about the excavation and the craftsmanship of ancient China.

Enjoy a home-cooked lunch
with a family in Lintong

After the museum, head to a local family home in a village in the Lintong district for about an hour of lunch. Taste home-style dishes that differ from restaurant food, and chat with the family to learn about their daily life, traditions and local history.

Feel the city's history at
the City Wall and Big Wild Goose Pagoda

After lunch, spend about 1 hour at the Xi'an City Wall, one of the largest and best-preserved ancient fortifications in China, while your guide explains the city's past defenses and historical significance. Next, visit the roughly 1,000-year-old Big Wild Goose Pagoda (Da Ci'en Temple) to stroll through quiet gardens and halls and see Buddhist scriptures and relics. The tour ends as you return to your hotel around sunset.
