This 2-day tour picks you up from your accommodation in Surabaya, Malang, or Probolinggo, takes you to watch the sunrise at Mount Bromo and trek Ijen Crater, then crosses the Bali Strait on the second day to finish in Bali. You travel by vehicle throughout the tour and spend the first night at accommodation in Banyuwangi near Ijen. Live guiding is available in English and Indonesian.

Watch the Mount Bromo sunrise by jeep

Meet your driver at your accommodation in the early morning and travel to the Bromo area, then switch to a local 4WD jeep to reach the sunrise viewpoint. As the sun rises, take in the panoramic volcanic landscape of Mount Bromo and the surrounding mountains.

After the sunrise, cross the Sea of Sand by jeep and explore the volcanic landscape around Mount Bromo. Then drive through the changing scenery of East Java to Banyuwangi and rest at your accommodation.

Trek Ijen Crater at dawn

On the second day, leave your accommodation early and head to the Ijen area. Walk up uneven hillside trails with a local guide to admire the crater and the early-morning volcanic scenery. Depending on weather, safety conditions, and official access rules, you may see the blue fire.

Cross the Bali Strait and get dropped off in Bali

After the Ijen trek, travel from Banyuwangi to Ketapang port and cross the Bali Strait by ferry to Gilimanuk. Then continue by vehicle to the Bali drop-off location you selected when booking to end your trip.
