This guided tour of about 5 hours takes you to the Khao Lak elephant sanctuary, Sai Rung Waterfall and a sea turtle conservation center. Instead of elephant rides or shows, it focuses on education and responsible observation of rescued elephants. The tour ends with a Thai lunch.

Prepare vitamin balls
for the rescued elephants

Hear the stories of the rescued elephants from the sanctuary team and learn about their daily care, diet and natural behavior. Join the staff in making nutritious vitamin balls, then walk through the sanctuary with your guide and observe the elephants respectfully.

Take a break at Sai Rung Waterfall,
also known as Rainbow Waterfall

Head to Sai Rung Waterfall, also known as Rainbow Waterfall, for a short break. Take photos and enjoy the surrounding jungle, and swim if the weather, water level and local conditions allow.

Visit the sea turtle center
and enjoy a Thai lunch

At the sea turtle conservation center, see how young and injured turtles are cared for before being released back to the sea, and learn about their life cycle and local conservation efforts. Finish with a Thai lunch before returning to your hotel in Khao Lak.
