Hakone-en Aquarium, located 723m above sea level, is the highest saltwater aquarium in Japan, where you can see its large tank, the Seal Square and penguins up close. After the aquarium, ride the ropeway about 1,783m up to the summit of Mt. Komagatake in about 7 minutes one way. From the summit station at 1,327m above sea level, you can see a panoramic view of Hakone centered on Lake Ashi and Mt. Fuji to the northwest.

The ticket includes admission to Hakone-en Aquarium and a Hakone Komagatake Ropeway round trip. Both facilities are inside Hakone-en on the shore of Lake Ashi, making them easy to enjoy together in one day. Show your ticket to the staff at the aquarium entrance and at the ropeway platform.

At Hakone-en Aquarium, 723m above sea level, you can watch saltwater fish swimming in the large tank. At the Seal Square, you can see the seals' charming gestures and leisurely swimming up close during feeding time, and meet other creatures children love, such as penguins.

This sightseeing ropeway connects Hakone-en with the summit of Mt. Komagatake, reaching the top in about 7 minutes one way while you look down on mountainsides where seasonal alpine plants bloom. The summit at 1,327m has an observation deck with views of Lake Ashi and the whole of Hakone, Mt. Fuji to the northwest, and Suruga Bay and the Miura Peninsula in the distance.
