Highlights
Walk along the most beautiful rice terraces of Sapa on this full-day trek with a local Black Hmong woman guide. Starting from Sapa Notre Dame Cathedral, you walk about 10-12 km through Y Linh Ho village, Lao Chai and Ta Van village, enjoying the rice field scenery of the Muong Hoa Valley. Have lunch in a Hmong village in Lao Chai and visit a traditional house to experience the culture, farming and daily life of the mountain villages up close. After the tour, a vehicle takes you back to Sapa.

Walk through Sapa's rice terrace villages
with a Hmong guide
Meet at Sapa Notre Dame Cathedral and walk through the Muong Hoa Valley via Y Linh Ho village, Lao Chai and Ta Van village with a Black Hmong guide on this full-day trek. You walk about 10-12 km over 4-6 hours, have lunch in Lao Chai village and visit a traditional Hmong house. Your guides are local Hmong women who work together with their sisters and cousins, so you can hear about their lives and culture firsthand. After the tour, you return to Sapa from Ta Van by car or motorbike.
Leave Sapa and walk the rice field paths
to Y Linh Ho village
After a short introduction, leave Sapa and walk to Y Linh Ho village while enjoying the most beautiful rice field views in Sapa. After about 2 hours of trekking, take a 20-minute break here.
Have lunch in a Hmong village in Lao Chai
and visit a traditional house
Next, head to Lao Chai, one of the oldest and largest Hmong communities in the area, and have lunch in the village. After lunch, visit a traditional Hmong house and see how the mountain villagers live.
Walk to Ta Van village
and return to Sapa
From Lao Chai, walk to Ta Van village, home mainly to the Giay and Hmong ethnic minorities. The tour ends in Ta Van and you return to Sapa by car or motorbike. Depending on conditions, the tour ends between 2:00 and 4:00 PM.
