Sapa Y Linh Ho Lao Chai & Ta Van Village Half-Day Trek - Transfers Included

Start at Sapa Cathedral and walk through
Y Linh Ho, Lao Chai and Ta Van villages

This half-day trek starts in front of Sapa Notre Dame Cathedral (Stone Church), where you meet a local ethnic minority guide to walk through three villages in the Muong Hoa Valley. After a car or van ride to the starting point in Y Linh Ho village, you walk about 6-7 km over 3.5-4 hours past rice terraces and Black Hmong and Giay villages. After the trek, a vehicle takes you from Ta Van village back to Sapa Cathedral. An option with lunch is also available.

Follow the rice terraces
from Y Linh Ho to Lao Chai

Start hiking past Y Linh Ho and walk along paths between the rice paddies and the Muong Hoa River to the Black Hmong village of Lao Chai. Along the way, enjoy the rice terraces spreading across the valley and the majestic scenery of the Hoang Lien Son mountains.

Meet local culture
in the Giay village of Ta Van

After Lao Chai, the trail continues to Ta Van village, home of the Giay people. With your guide, take a close look at the daily life and culture of the Black Hmong and Giay people. When you reach Ta Van Secondary School in Ta Van village, a car or van takes you back to Sapa Cathedral where the tour ends.
