Sapa Fansipan Summit Day Trekking Tour - Tram Ton Pass Route

This day trek of about 10 hours takes you from an early-morning pickup at your hotel in Sapa to the summit of Mount Fansipan (3,143 m) and back. A professional English-speaking trekking guide accompanies you, and national park entrance fees and insurance, a picnic lunch, snacks and drinking water are included. The route suits fit travelers who want to reach the top in one day without an overnight stay.

Meet the sea of clouds and the temple complex at the summit

At the top, take photos at the iconic stainless-steel pyramid marker and have time to see the giant Amitabha Buddha statue and the spiritual complex set among the clouds. Enjoy a light lunch while gazing over the sea of clouds below.

Walk through the primeval forest of Hoang Lien Son National Park

After driving to the Tram Ton Pass at 1,900 m, you enter the dense primeval forest of Hoang Lien Son National Park. The trail ranges from gentle forest paths to steep, rocky terrain, and as you climb, the air cools and views of the Muong Hoa Valley and rugged peaks open up. You pass through old bamboo groves and, depending on the season, may see wild rhododendrons in bloom.

Walk back down or take the cable car

After exploring the summit, you can walk back down to the Tram Ton Pass or, if you prefer, take the cable car (at your own expense) for a bird's-eye view on the way down. Your guide takes photos and videos during the trek, and you receive a certificate and medal when you finish.
