Highlights
This is an admission ticket to the Yokai Art Museum in the Maze Town of Tonosho on Shodoshima, an island in the Seto Inland Sea, where the alleys wind like a maze. Four exhibition buildings set in old houses are scattered within 200 meters, so you can visit them one by one while walking through the town's alleys. With an audio guide, you can explore themed exhibits from the origins of yokai to modern yokai, including works by the museum director and painter Chubei Yagyu and entries to the Yokai Sculpture Award. You can also choose a combo ticket with the nearby Naoki Onogawa Museum or the weekend evening event Night Museum.

Walk through the Maze Town and visit four exhibition buildings
The Yokai Art Museum makes use of old buildings in Tonosho Honmachi on Shodoshima, and you walk between four exhibition buildings scattered within 200 meters. First complete the entry procedure at the reception, then head to each building. You can listen to explanations with a free audio guide app, and it is best to allow at least 60 minutes.
Meet yokai from their origins to the present day
Each exhibit shows yokai in a different way: The Origin of Yokai introduces yokai from ancient Japanese animism to Edo-period entertainment through artworks, a giant Dodeca Yokai awaits in a former soy sauce warehouse, a special exhibition features modern yokai, and in Mononoke Mandara you lie on tatami in a dark room facing a huge ceiling painting.
Enjoy the Naoki Onogawa Museum too
With the combo ticket or the single ticket, you can also visit the Naoki Onogawa Museum in the same Maze Town. It displays works made from tiny paper cranes folded from 10 mm square paper, and about 30 minutes is a good amount of time to allow.
Night Museum on weekend evenings
Night Museum: Seal the Yokai! is an evening event held after closing, where you explore the museum with a map and a light, solve riddles, and find and seal away escaped yokai. It is held on Saturday, Sunday and holiday evenings, and includes the event admission fee and original goods. It takes about 1 to 1.5 hours.

About a 15-minute walk from Tonosho Port and about 7 minutes on foot from Angel Road. By bus, get off at the Tonosho Honmachi stop and walk 1 minute (about 5 minutes by bus from Tonosho Port). If you come by car, you can use the museum's three parking lots (5, 5 and 20 spaces).
