Leave your Luxor hotel and
head to two temples of Upper Egypt

After morning pickup from your hotel in Luxor, set off on a full-day trip in an air-conditioned vehicle with an Egyptologist guide and private driver. Over about 11 hours, you'll visit the two sites of Dendera and Abydos.

Explore the Temple of Hathor at Dendera

Your first stop is the Dendera Temple in Qena. Known in ancient times as Tentyris, it was a major center of worship for Hathor, goddess of love, music and motherhood. Explore its elaborate ceiling, underground crypts and reliefs that have kept their colors for more than 2,000 years. Afterwards, enjoy lunch at a local Egyptian restaurant.

Meet the Temple of Seti I in the sacred city of Abydos

Continue north to Abydos, one of the oldest and most important ancient sites in Egypt. Visit the Temple of Seti I, famous for its outstanding reliefs, and learn about the site's connection to Osiris, god of the underworld, and the royal tombs of the early dynasties.

Return to Luxor and end with dinner

On the way back to Luxor, relax or enjoy the countryside scenery. Once in Luxor, have dinner at a local restaurant before your driver takes you back to your hotel.
