This half-day rafting tour takes you through Class II-IV rapids in Horseshoe Canyon on the Bow River in the Canadian Rockies. Paddle through big waves and powerful hits on glacial water between steep shale walls for a real thrill. If you like, you can also try optional cliff jumps of 8 and 30 feet. All rafting gear, including a wetsuit, life jacket, and helmet, plus round-trip transportation from the River Base to the river, is included.

Gear up at the River Base
and head to the Bow River
Meet at the River Base in Morley, or contact the operator in advance to book the shuttle from Canmore. After check-in with a team member, put on the provided wetsuit, life jacket, helmet, wetsuit booties, and splash jacket, plus an optional wetsuit jacket for very cold days. Gather around a demo raft for a safety briefing, then board the bus for a 15-minute ride to the put-in.
Take on the rapids of Horseshoe Canyon

At the river, your guide explains paddling commands and general river guidelines. Listen carefully, then hop in the raft and run Horseshoe Canyon with its Class II-IV rapids. Feel the big waves and strong hits as you pass steep shale walls and glacial water.
Try a cliff jump if you dare

During the tour, you can choose to jump from 8-foot and 30-foot cliffs into the river. The jumps are only for those who want to take part.
Return to the River Base for a cold drink

After rafting, ride the bus about 15 minutes back to the River Base, change your clothes, and enjoy a refreshing drink. You will also be told how to view and purchase photos taken during the tour. If you used the Canmore shuttle, it takes you back.
※ The tour runs rain or shine.
※ Cliff jumping is optional.
