This ticket combines the Ice Explorer glacier tour and the Skywalk at the Columbia Icefield Discovery Centre. Ride the Ice Explorer, an all-terrain vehicle with giant tires, onto the Athabasca Glacier and walk on ice formed over more than 25,000 years. Then walk the glass-floored Skywalk above the Sunwapta Valley and look down on mountains, glaciers and waterfalls. Live English commentary is provided on the Ice Explorer, and a multilingual audio guide including Korean is available at the Skywalk.

Start your glacier adventure
at the Discovery Centre
Make your own way to the Columbia Icefield Discovery Centre, check in and meet your guide. Take a shuttle bus to the Athabasca Glacier and transfer to the Ice Explorer, a specially designed all-terrain vehicle that can drive right onto the glacier. On the way, your guide shares stories in English about the Columbia Icefield, the surrounding peaks and how glaciers shaped the landscape.
Walk on
the Athabasca Glacier

On the glacier, spend about 20 minutes walking on ice formed over more than 25,000 years while taking in the vast alpine scenery. You can also taste fresh glacier water straight from the glacier.
Look down on the Sunwapta Valley
from the glass-floored Skywalk

After the glacier, head to the Columbia Icefield Skywalk. Walk along the glass-floored platform suspended 279 m above the valley and enjoy views of mountains, glaciers, waterfalls and the winding Sunwapta River. You can stay at the Skywalk as long as you like and use the multilingual audio guide.
※ The tour schedule may change or be cancelled due to weather conditions.
※ Time on the glacier is about 20 minutes, and restrooms are not available during the glacier tour.
