Travel from Rome by high-speed train
to Pompeii and Herculaneum
With pre-booked tickets, take a high-speed train from Roma Termini and arrive at Napoli Centrale in about 70 minutes. Meet your guide opposite Napoli Centrale and travel by minibus to Pompeii. The whole tour takes about 11 hours.
Explore the highlights of Pompeii with an archaeologist
Spend about 2 hours exploring the Pompeii archaeological site with an archaeologist guide. See the main buildings, including newly opened houses, plaster casts of people and animals who died in the eruption and the ancient brothel, while hearing the stories of the city and people buried by Mount Vesuvius. Headsets are provided for all participants.
Take a break at Maximall Pompeii
After the Pompeii tour, enjoy about 50 minutes of free time at the nearby Maximall Pompeii shopping mall. You receive a welcome kit and a shopping discount card.
Explore the ruins of Herculaneum
Travel by minibus to Herculaneum and spend about 2 hours exploring the site. With your guide, see the main sights including the House of Neptune and Amphitrite and the ancient beach where hundreds of skeletal remains are preserved. After the tour, return by minibus to Napoli Centrale and take the high-speed train back to Roma Termini.
