Depart from Anchorage
to find the aurora over the mountains

After pickup from your accommodation in Anchorage, begin a nighttime adventure in search of the aurora over the mountains. Your professional photographer guide explains the science of the northern lights in an easy-to-understand way, and the tour is designed for both sightseers and photographers, so no photography experience is required.

Learn aurora photography from a photographer guide

Photograph the aurora with your own camera while learning new photography techniques. Photography coaching and aurora portrait service are available on request, and every guest receives a free tripod. If you need a camera, contact the operator in advance to reserve a rental, and parkas are provided on request.

Warm up with hot drinks and snacks

Light snacks, bottled water and hot drinks such as hot cocoa, apple cider, tea or coffee are provided, along with hand warmers and toe warmers. You can stay outside the vehicle for up to 1 hour at a time, so please dress for the weather.

※ The aurora is a natural phenomenon, and sightings cannot be guaranteed.
※ The tour only runs when the forecast shows a chance of seeing the aurora, and visibility can be affected by aurora intensity, moonlight and cloud cover.
※ If the tour is canceled due to cloudy weather, rain or snow, you will receive a full refund. If the tour runs but the aurora is not seen, no refund is given; instead, a free make-up tour is offered.
