Guide was informative with a good sense of humour. Trip is essentially a bus tour between 9-2 including few photo stops in the city, view point of golden gate bridge and pass by Sausalito and spend 90 mins in Muir woods. Alcaratz tour is late afternoon which is managed separately by the ferry provider. Overall tour was good but not worth almost $180

Our guide was Patrick. You will be VERY lucky if you land him. Knowledgeable.. funny.. entertaining 100% of the time. Interactive with all guests. I’ve taken dozens of tours and he is definitely the best I’ve ever had. I would recommend Dylan’s tours to anyone wanting to learn about San Francisco.

It was great. Roger was an excellent guide and driver. Gave us a lot of information about San Francisco.

Highlights

This small-group tour covers San Francisco's city highlights, the redwood forest of Muir Woods, Sausalito and Alcatraz Island in one day. Ride in an air-conditioned vehicle with commentary from a local guide, pass through Chinatown, North Beach and Fisherman's Wharf, and cross the Golden Gate Bridge. Walk among towering redwoods for up to 90 minutes at Muir Woods National Monument and enjoy views of San Francisco Bay and the skyline from Sausalito. Take a reserved ferry to Alcatraz Island to explore the prison with an audio tour. An option to split the itinerary over two days is also available.

Program

Explore San Francisco by vehicle
with your guide

Ride in an air-conditioned vehicle and pass San Francisco's iconic neighborhoods while listening to your local guide. See North Beach and Little Italy, Fisherman's Wharf, the Marina District, the Palace of Fine Arts, the Presidio, Pacific Heights and Billionaires' Row, the 'Mrs. Doubtfire' house and Chinatown, the oldest Chinatown in the United States.

Stop for photos at the Golden Gate Bridge and head to Muir Woods

Stop for about 15 minutes for photos before crossing the Golden Gate Bridge. Then spend up to 90 minutes exploring Muir Woods National Monument, walking freely among the towering redwoods in a peaceful forest. Muir Woods admission is not included and must be paid directly to the National Park Service (NPS) at the entrance.

Drive through Sausalito and enjoy views of the bay

Drive through Sausalito, a beautiful waterfront town across the Golden Gate Bridge, and enjoy views of San Francisco Bay and the city skyline. In Marin County, there is time for a break, lunch, free time and shopping.

Take the ferry and explore Alcatraz Island

Board your reserved ferry at Pier 33 and cross to Alcatraz Island. Spend about 2 hours exploring the notorious prison at your own pace with an immersive audio tour. The tour ends at Pier 33.

※ Stops are not visited in a fixed order, and the itinerary may change depending on local conditions.
※ With the '2-Day Split' option, Alcatraz is on day 1 and the city, Muir Woods and Sausalito tour is on day 2.
