Very great time and it blew my expectations

Such a fun experience! Climbing and crawling through narrow passages was very hands on, and the guide was great!

Absolutely fantastic time. At first I thought I would struggle with such small spaces, but it’s surprising how quickly you relax into it. So much fun. Great tour guide and great group of (6) people.

So wonderful experience with those narrows and "slides", Lászlo is the super guide with knowledges and kindness. Will recommend to friends for sure.

Highlights

Explore a vast underground cave world hidden beneath the dazzling cityscape of Budapest. Embark on a unique adventure through the natural sections of the Pálvölgyi-Mátrahegy Cave System with a professional cave guide, crawling through narrow passages and climbing rock walls. No prior caving experience is needed, and all necessary equipment like helmets and protective gear are provided, making it especially recommended for travelers seeking a distinctive activity in Budapest.

Program

Explore Budapest's Underground Caves

Meet your professional guide in the Pálvölgyi Cave area, gear up, receive safety instructions, and begin your caving adventure. Unlike typical tourist caves with stairs and lighting, this tour involves navigating natural cave passages by climbing and crawling.

No prior caving experience is required, as your guide will provide instructions on movement and safety. If you enjoy active experiences, you'll find it even more thrilling to navigate narrow spaces and low passages.

Discover the Pálvölgyi-Mátrahegy Cave System

Beneath the limestone hills of Buda lies a network of vast caves formed by geothermal activity. The Pálvölgyi and Mátrahegy areas are interconnected, revealing a world entirely different from the surface landscape of Budapest.

Observe the unique limestone formations and natural passages up close, and learn from your guide how Budapest's caves and thermal waters are connected.

Challenge Yourself with Caving with a Professional Guide

Explore natural cave sections inaccessible on your own, accompanied by a professional guide. You'll need to help each other navigate narrow passages, making it a great adventure for friends and family, or a chance to meet new people while exploring solo.
