Absolutely loved this 2-day tour! It was my first time travelling alone and i booked this as a birthday gift to myself. It was way better than what i expected, the group had a really great dynamic and i’m so happy i could celebrate my birthday with the sweetest group and guide team. Got myself some new friends thanks to this tour 🫶🏼 Our guide, Ax, was very friendly, funny and he made sure we felt really comfortable and that each and every one of us was taken care of. It wasn’t just a simple tour where you’d take your photos and go. You have a heartwarming experience bonding with everyone, and you leave with good memories and new friendships. If you’re a solo traveler, a couple, a group of friends, a family, go for it – we had all of those in our group and we still had a wonderful dynamic. SO WORTH IT! 🙂‍↕️ And if you want more infos, just dm me on instagram @alelierheanne 😋

Highlights

Embark on a leisurely 1-night, 2-day journey through Kazakhstan's representative natural wonders, departing from Almaty to visit Kolsai Lake, Kaindy Lake, Charyn Canyon, and Black Canyon. By day, marvel at the majestic landscapes of lakes and canyons, and by night, experience Kazakh culture while staying in a traditional yurt in a village surrounded by mountains and rivers. With local cuisine, a bonfire, and a night full of stars, this tour is highly recommended for travelers seeking a deeper immersion into Kazakhstan's nature and local culture than a day trip allows.

Program

Discover Kazakhstan's Lakes and Canyons in 2 Days, 1 Night

Begin your 1-night, 2-day adventure meeting your English-speaking guide and fellow travelers in Almaty. Explore the iconic natural sites near Almaty, including Kolsai Lake, Kaindy Lake, Charyn Canyon, and Black Canyon, taking your time to appreciate each unique landscape. During the summer season, you'll also have the chance to visit Moon Canyon, known for its distinctive geological formations. Your guide will share fascinating stories about each area and point out the best spots for photos, making your journey even richer.

Explore Kolsai and Kaindy Lakes

Admire the stunning natural beauty of Kolsai Lake, nestled amidst mountains, and visit Kaindy Lake, situated within a forest. At Kaindy Lake, witness the unique spectacle of trees rising from the water. These lakes, combined with the surrounding mountains and forests, offer quintessential Kazakh natural scenery perfect for capturing memorable photographs.

An Unforgettable Night in a Yurt

Visit a remote village to savor local cuisine and experience Kazakh life and culture up close. Your accommodation will be in a traditional yurt or a guesthouse, depending on your chosen option. In the evening, gather around a bonfire with fellow travelers for dinner, and escape the city lights to enjoy a night under a canopy of stars. Wake up to fresh mountain air to start your second day before returning to Almaty.
