Kyoto Local Sake Journey in Fushimi
If you're looking for a special local experience in Kyoto, the Fushimi Sake Tour is perfect for you. Fushimi is one of Japan's three major sake brewing regions, a neighborhood where the scent and stories of breweries come alive in every alley. The tour starts with an English guide at Chushojima Station. First, learn about the history and manufacturing process of sake at the Gekkeikan Okura Museum with an exhibition, and capture the basic aroma and taste with a 3-sake tasting. Afterwards, walk through the streets of Fushimi and the brewery alleys, and you can feel how sake culture has permeated the region on site. In the middle, we will also visit unique places in Fushimi, such as Teradaya (historical point at the end of the Edo period) and Kappa Country, and finally, we will taste Kyoto's clear groundwater at Gokomiya Shrine to refresh the atmosphere. The tour ends at Fushimi Momoyama Station, and you can receive photos taken by the guide via email, so you can keep a clean record of your trip.
