LA Newport Beach Whale & Dolphin Watching Cruise

I booked this after falling in love with a dolphin video I saw on Instagram, and it was truly the most relaxing moment of my entire trip to LA! Since Newport Beach is an affluent area, it was lovely to look around the piers near the marina, and the cruise was so much fun! About 30 minutes into the boat, the guide told us to look in the 1 o'clock direction. When I did, I saw a pod of dozens of dolphins jumping and swimming right next to the boat—it gave me goosebumps 😭 I think I took about 500 videos and photos haha. Because of the nature of my job, feeling the cool sea breeze and looking out at the wide-open Pacific Ocean really made all my stress vanish. As a tip, the sea breeze is actually much stronger than you'd expect—so refreshing it's actually cold—so be sure to bring a long-sleeved jacket or a windbreaker! I highly recommend this tour as it offers great value for money and a truly satisfying experience 👍

I took a short detour to participate in this tour while I was in Los Angeles. In short, I'm so glad I went! The captain and staff were incredibly friendly, and they kindly pointed out dolphins over there multiple times! 📣
 We were lucky enough to see not only dolphins but also whales spouting in the distance, which caused a huge cheer from all the passengers. There's also a bar counter on board where you can buy snacks and hot drinks, making for a comfortable experience. It's relatively close to Disneyland, so it's a great activity I recommend for anyone staying around Anaheim. Thank you for the wonderful memories. Mahalo!
