Have you ever felt rushed following tour schedules and courses? If so, we introduce a tour that provides transportation and meals, and allows you to create your own route with plenty of free time!

Depart from the center of Kumamoto, take a direct bus to Takachiho, and freely visit the places you want. The guide only helps with vehicle guidance, so you only need to gather at the meeting time without a set course, allowing you to adjust the schedule to your pace.

Must-see course, Takachiho Gorge

Takachiho Gorge consists of columnar joints formed long ago when lava rapidly cooled.

There is a small wooden observation deck on top of the rock, where you can capture the perfect scenery of the falling waterfall and the boats meandering under the 17M high Manai Falls.

Of course, you can also row yourself! Check the operating status of the boat here and enjoy the leisurely atmosphere of the gorge.

Takachiho Shrine

The Takachiho area is attracting attention as the birthplace of Japanese mythology, similar to Korea's Dangun myth. Among them, Takachiho Shrine is the largest and most historic shrine, built about 1,900 years ago.

It is a place that enshrines the god of marriage and purification. It is said that if family or lovers hold hands and walk around the two giant cedar trees with intertwined roots three times, their descendants will enjoy great wealth and prosperity!

Also, unlike other shrines in Japan, it has an earthen color rather than a bright red color, so it blends perfectly with the surrounding natural scenery, so be sure to visit.
 

Takachiho Gourmet, Chihonoie 

You can enjoy a set meal with nature at 'Chihonoie' located in the gorge. The lunch menu offers a set meal including Miyazaki local cuisine, Chicken Nanban and Kawarayaki-style Chasoba.

- 12:19 Arrival at Takachiho Bus Center
- Arrival at Takachiho Gorge (Shuttle taxi approx. 10 minutes / Meet the taxi driver holding a sign with the name of the reservation holder after getting off at the bus center)
- Lunch with Miyazaki local cuisine (set meal including Chicken Nanban and Kawarayaki-style Chasoba), Free time at Takachiho Gorge (stay approx. 3 hours 30 minutes) 
* Enjoy a meal using local ingredients, and freely visit Manai Falls and Takachiho Shrine.
* After free time, please return to the bus center yourself in time for the returning bus.
