BESTYou have to enter in advance to get a koala hug, and due to time constraints, we only came to see the faces. But feeding the kangaroos was an amazing experience! There is more food than you might think, so only one bag is enough for each team. Since the weather is very hot, sunscreen and an umbrella are recommended. It was a pleasant visit with tickets available immediately and at an affordable price. I recommend purchasing zoo tickets through WAUG!

The world's largest koala sanctuary,
Brisbane's Lone Pine
Visit the world's largest koala sanctuary, recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records, and meet over 130 koalas and 70 species of native Australian animals! Also one of the world's top 10 zoos selected by AOL, it was created in 1972 for koalas who had lost their families, were injured, or were evicted, and was the world's first koala sanctuary at the time.
Here, meet not only adorable koalas, but also Australian brush turkeys, kangaroos, platypus, and wombats.

All about koalas,
And native Australian animals
Learn about the environment in which koalas live and experience everything about koalas, such as feeding them directly or taking pictures.
But just because it's a koala sanctuary doesn't mean there are only koalas! Watch parrots talk to trainers and learn about a variety of fascinating birds, including eagles, owls, and hawks. Spend a relaxing time here watching lively sheepdogs perform with shepherds.
Interact directly with the natural environment

Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary focuses on direct interaction with animals. From cuddling koalas to hand-feeding kangaroos and meeting a variety of Australian wildlife, all in a beautiful natural setting. Brisbane's top tourist attraction is just 50 minutes from the Gold Coast.
Home to 130 koalas and over 70 species of native Australian animals, you can not only see, interact with and learn about them, but also be inspired to make small, positive changes in your daily life to protect native wildlife and their habitats.
Buy food and feed them directly

The feeding sanctuary is open daily from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM! You can buy a bag of food at the entrance and hand it out to the kangaroos. Meeting wildlife this close and interacting with them will definitely be a lasting memory of your trip to Australia.
