It was a very convenient ticket for a one-day tour that allowed you to conveniently get off in downtown Kyoto, sightsee, and then board again. It was a good product that I would recommend to others.

Since I was traveling with my parents, I used the Kyoto Sky Hop City Tour Bus. I bought a one-day ticket and printed out the voucher just in case. I tried to exchange the ticket at Kyoto Station that morning, and I was able to board right away with QR. If your accommodation is not near Kyoto Station, you can board at a stop near your accommodation without going all the way to Kyoto Station. However, please note that you can only board if there is a seat! Since mid-December is not the peak season, there were only 5 passengers. If you are boarding at Kyoto Station, you can do it at the C2 side on the left end when you stand looking at Kyoto Tower! The rooftop bus is basically the red line, so it was very cold. At least the front row has glass to block the wind. There are seats on the first floor, but there is no audio guide and you cannot see anything. However, if you keep getting on and off, a white single-story bus will come. There is a QR code at the stop that allows you to check the real-time bus location, and the color of the bus is also displayed, so if it is too cold, choose a bus and ride. Um.. and the audio guide... don't expect much, but it's good.. but it's better than not having it.. hehe Since you can get on and off freely, it was easy to make or change plans, and I only went to Kinkaku-ji, Ginkaku-ji, and Kiyomizu-dera, but even if you don't get off, most of the basic attractions are included in the bus route, so you can tour the bus window! Since it goes in one direction, the place you wanted to see in the evening might be in front, so in that case, come to Kyoto Station and take the bus that departs again. It may vary from person to person, but I think you'll only be able to see about 4 places a day even if you go around quickly. There are 14 stops, and a two-day pass is cheaper than a one-day pass, so if you plan to stay in Kyoto for a long time, a two-day pass might be okay. It was a little disappointing not going to Fushimi Inari Shrine and Arashiyama! If anyone is going to use the bus, I hope this was helpful! :)
